Key terms used across AfterMKT, explained in plain language.
C
Claim
The act of connecting your wallet and accepting a digital receipt. Claiming is free and takes a few seconds. Once claimed, the receipt is permanently stored in your wallet.
A permanent, verifiable proof of purchase issued by AfterMKT. Unlike paper or email receipts, a digital receipt cannot be lost, deleted, or altered after it is issued. It is stored on a public record and can be verified by anyone.
A Shopify store that has installed and activated AfterMKT. Once approved, a merchant's store automatically generates a claimable digital receipt for every order.
Evidence that you bought an item from a specific store on a specific date. Your digital receipt serves as permanent, verifiable proof of purchase that cannot be altered after it is issued.
The public record AfterMKT uses to keep digital receipts permanent. Solana is known for its speed and low cost, which allows AfterMKT to issue receipts efficiently and without buyer fees.
T
Tokenized
A label that appears on a small set of receipts that have been linked to a real-world item (for example, a physical collectible). For most buyers, this status will not appear — your receipt will display as Issued or Claimed.
W
Wallet
A free app (like Phantom) that stores your digital receipts. Think of it as a digital filing cabinet for your proof-of-purchase records. You control your wallet with a private key (also called a seed phrase). Anyone who gets your seed phrase can access everything in your wallet — never share it with anyone, including AfterMKT support.
