What Is a Receipt
You got a digital receipt
When you bought something from a store that uses AfterMKT, a digital receipt was automatically created for your purchase. This receipt is a permanent, verifiable record that proves you bought a specific item from a specific store on a specific date. Think of it as a better version of the paper receipt you'd normally get — except this one can't be lost, faded, or altered after it is issued.
How is this different from an email receipt?
Email receipts are useful, but they have limitations. They end up buried in your inbox and they can be deleted accidentally. An AfterMKT digital receipt is stored on a public ledger — once issued, nobody (not even AfterMKT or the store) can alter or delete it, and anyone can verify when and where it was issued. You also own it outright. It sits in your wallet, not in someone else's email server.
Do I need to do anything?
No — your receipt already exists. But if you want to keep a permanent copy in your own wallet, you can claim it. Claiming is free, takes a few seconds, and gives you full ownership of the receipt. If you don't claim it, the receipt still exists — you just won't have it stored in your wallet.
Is this cryptocurrency?
No. AfterMKT uses public-record technology (Solana) to keep your receipt permanent, but your digital receipt is not cryptocurrency, not an investment, and not a financial product of any kind. It is a proof-of-purchase record — nothing more. Claiming your receipt costs nothing. It has no monetary value and is not designed to be traded or speculated on. It is a digital record that proves you made a purchase, the same way a paper receipt would — just permanent and verifiable.
What's actually on a receipt?
A digital receipt is a permanent record kept on Solana — a public ledger that anyone can inspect. Once issued, the receipt cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including AfterMKT or the merchant. The wallet listed as the holder is the current owner — it may be the original buyer, or someone the receipt has transferred to since it was issued.
